The Pacific Sailfin Tang is the GBR relative of the Desjardini, reaching a Max Size of 40 cm. It is characterized by bold, vertical brown and tan bands across its body and fins, interspersed with white-to-yellow stripes. Like the Desjardini, its defining feature is its ability to flare its enormous dorsal and anal fins into a sail-like shape. They are hardier than many other tang species and are excellent for managing algae in large systems. They are peaceful toward non-tangs but will defend their territory against other algae-eaters.
