Product overview

Red Sea Salt mixes to tropical reef water with slightly raised alkalinity, so pH holds more steadily after a water change. It is evaporated from Red Sea water and keeps a natural mix of more than 70 trace elements.

It dissolves in about 20 minutes. Calcium and magnesium land in range, so you usually do not have to add them after mixing.

Key features

Natural seawater base: Solar-evaporated Red Sea water with a consistent trace-element mix.
Foundation elements: Calcium, magnesium, and bicarbonates balanced for mixed and SPS reefs, around 8 dKH.
Colour and tissue: Made to support coral pigmentation and normal tissue growth.
Clean mix: No nitrate, phosphate, chemical binders, or added heavy metals.
Fast dissolve: Ready to use in about 20 minutes once fully dissolved.

Water and system compatibility

Water: Marine reef and fish-only aquariums only. Not for freshwater or planted tanks.
Systems: Fish-only, mixed invertebrates, ultra-low nutrient (ULNS), and SPS-dominant reefs.

Mixing

Always follow directions on product packaging.

Mix in RO water. Add dry salt slowly to moving water and wait until it is fully dissolved. Aim for pH 8.2–8.5.

System	Salinity	Mix per litre	Alkalinity
Fish only	1.021 SG / 30.6 ppt	33.4 g	7.3–7.7 dKH
Invertebrates / low nutrient	1.023 SG / 33.4 ppt	36.0 g	7.8–8.2 dKH
Coral-dominant / reef	1.025 SG / 35.0 ppt	38.2 g	8.0–8.4 dKH

Storage

Seal at once: Close the bag or bucket after every use. The salt takes up moisture from the air and will clump if left open.
Batch check: Use Red Sea’s MyBatch tool if you need the chemistry for your specific bucket.
