The Yellow Eye Kole Tang, also known as the Spotted Bristletooth Tang, is one of the most efficient algae-eaters in the marine hobby, reaching a Max Size of 18 cm. It features a deep burgundy-to-maroon body covered in a network of fine, pale-blue-to-pink horizontal lines. Its most distinguishing feature is the vibrant lemon-yellow ring around each eye. Like other members of the Ctenochaetus genus, it possesses specialized comb-like teeth designed to rasp film algae and detritus off the glass and rockwork. They are highly active and spend their entire day grooming the aquarium, making them an indispensable utility fish for reef keepers.
