Product overview
The Red Sea NanoMat is an automated fleece roller for nano marine tanks. Filter socks and fleece pads clog quickly, holding waste in the water where it breaks down into nitrates and phosphates that feed algae. Hand-rinsing them is messy and easy to forget.
It drops into a standard 4-inch filter sock holder. When the non-woven polyester fleece is blocked, solid-state sensors tell the onboard motor to advance a clean section. No app or internet is required.
Key features
-
Drop-in 4" sock replacement: Fits an existing 4-inch filter sock slot with the included universal adapter. No extra plumbing.
-
Auto advance: A button-operated control unit rolls on fresh fleece when the media is blocked.
-
Solid-state sensors: Titanium-tipped dual-level water sensors with no moving parts, so they are less likely to bind or fail.
-
Standalone: Runs on its own processor. No smartphone app, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
-
High-water shutdown: Pauses auto-advance during feeding or maintenance so fleece is not wasted.
-
Fleece media: 18-metre, 50 gsm non-woven polyester rolls that trap fine particles before they decay. Skimmer-friendly. Replacement media: Red Sea ReefMat fleece rolls.
Water and system compatibility
-
Water: Marine and reef aquariums only. Not for freshwater or planted tanks.
-
Sumps: Drops into the rear filter chamber of Red Sea MAX NANO G2 (Cube, Peninsula, and XL) and into 4-inch sock slots on Red Sea REEFER G2 sumps and other standard 4-inch holders.
-
Volume: Best for nano and small marine systems up to 200 litres.
