Porcelain Crab (Neopetrosisthes maculatus)

The Porcelain Crab is an incredibly peaceful and fascinating filter-feeder that sports a beautiful white body decorated with distinct reddish-brown spots. Equipped with specialized, fan-like mouth appendages called maxillipeds, this unique crab sits atop high-flow rockwork or nested safely within the tentacles of a host anemone, sweeping the water column for free-floating plankton and micro-particulates. They are completely reef-safe and make an extraordinary, non-destructive addition to any nano reef or community marine system.
