Product overview
The AMS Colour Changing DI Resin Cartridge is a 10-inch mixed-bed deionisation (DI) filter for the last stage of an RO/RODI unit. After the reverse osmosis membrane, it takes out leftover ions so product water reads 0 TDS.
The shell is clear. The resin starts blue/purple and turns light brown/amber as it is used up, so you can see when to change it. Still confirm with an inline TDS meter before water goes to storage.
Key features
-
0 TDS: Mixed-bed cation (H+) and anion (OH−) resin for silicates, nitrate, phosphate, ammonia, and heavy metals that pass the membrane.
-
Colour change: Blue/purple when fresh. Light brown/amber when spent.
-
Fit: Standard 10-inch drop-in housing, usually the last canister after the RO membrane. Seat both gaskets flat so water cannot bypass.
Water and system compatibility
-
Water: Polishes RO water for marine salt mixing, reef tanks, and other uses that need mineral-free water. It does not treat aquarium display water on its own.
-
System: RO/RODI units with a 10-inch DI housing. Fit it after the membrane, not as a tap pre-filter.

Directions
Turn off the feed and relieve pressure. Open the DI housing and take out the old cartridge. Unwrap the new one, check the gaskets, and drop it in with flow the same way as your system. Tighten the housing, turn the water on, and flush 2–3 minutes. The TDS meter on product water should read 0 ppm.
Always follow directions on product packaging.
