Overview
Widely considered one of the most beautiful freshwater fish in the hobby, the Pearl Gourami brings pure elegance to larger display aquariums. Their bodies are completely covered in an intricate, shimmering mosaic of tiny, pearlescent white spots that look like scattered diamonds, all divided by a crisp black horizontal line. Mature males develop a breathtaking, deep violet-orange throat and chest, along with beautiful, lace-like extensions on their fins. They are exceptionally gentle, timid, and peaceful, making them an elite choice for large, calm community layouts.
