Head & Tail Light Tetra (Hemigrammus ocellifer)

The Head and Tail Light Tetra is a classic community favourite named for the luminous, copper-gold spots above its eye and at the base of its tail stem that shimmer like tiny headlights under aquarium lighting. Featuring a translucent silvery body with subtle horizontal striping, it is an exceptionally tranquil schooling fish that glides effortlessly through peaceful Community tanks. They show their best colors when kept in shoals against a dark substrate and live plant background.
