The Nubios Professional gravel cleaner siphons fish waste, detritus, and uneaten food out of the gravel while you drain water. A basket on the intake helps keep gravel, small fish, and invertebrates in the tank. Prime it by hand or with a pump. Do not start it by mouth.
Key features
- Intake basket to block gravel, small fish, and invertebrates
- Flow can be slowed for fine substrate, or run harder on coarse gravel
- Clear rigid pipe, so you can see the waste leaving the bed
- Flexible vinyl hose that resists kinks
Water and system compatibility
Freshwater and marine.

Directions
- Put a bucket on the floor, lower than the tank. The siphon runs by gravity.
- Sink the clear pipe in the water, with the tip toward the gravel.
- Prime the siphon so water runs into the bucket.
- Push the pipe into the gravel. Waste goes up the tube and the gravel drops back. Lift it slightly, then move to the next spot.
- Drain the hose, rinse the parts in tap water, and dry them out of direct sun.
