The Three-Stripe Damselfish is an iconic, highly resilient marine species displaying high-contrast vertical black and white bands running across its compact body. Renowned for their extreme hardiness and ability to adapt to varying water conditions, they are frequently chosen by aquarists looking for bold contrast in smaller setups. However, as they mature, they become exceptionally territorial and aggressive toward tankmates, claiming rock caves as their exclusive home. They are best housed with equally durable, semi-aggressive fish in aquariums with plenty of line-of-sight breaks.
