Klein's Butterflyfish is one of the hardiest and most adaptable members of the family, making it an excellent choice for those new to butterflyfish. Its body is a soft golden-brown or yellowish hue, often appearing to have a subtle "glow" under aquarium lights. It features two dark vertical bands—one through the eye and another just behind the head—and the scales often have a pearly sheen. This species is widely utilized in reef tanks for its appetite for nuisance anemones and soft corals like Xenia. While it is generally peaceful, it is an opportunistic feeder and may nip at various ornamental corals, so it should be monitored closely in a reef environment.
