The True Falcula Butterflyfish is a regal marine species featuring a clean white body highlighted by a warm yellow upper back, dark vertical saddle bars, and a bold dark eye band. Often confused with similar double-saddle butterflyfish species, Chaetodon falcula stands out with its intricate wedge patterns and active, inquisitive behavior. They thrive in large, mature aquariums with extensive live rock formations to explore and forage around. Because they naturally feed on invertebrate polyps and sessile invertebrates, they are generally not suitable for coral reef aquariums, but make exceptional centerpiece additions to large marine fish displays.
