The Watanabe's Angelfish is a highly prized reef-safe angelfish celebrated for its soft powder-blue coloration and striking sexual dimorphism. Males feature horizontal blue and black striping along the lower body, while females maintain a sleek, solid pale blue hue with dark accents on the fins and forehead. Belonging to the planktivorous genus Genicanthus, this species open-water feeds and will not disturb soft corals, stony corals, or ornamental invertebrates. They prefer aquariums with strong water circulation, moderate lighting, and ample swimming room.
