The Tomini Tang, also known as the Flame Fin Tang, is a compact and useful species reaching a Max Size of 15 cm. It is one of the smallest tangs available, making it a perfect choice for mid-sized reef tanks. Its body is a subtle tan-to-grey, which provides a stark contrast for its vibrant, flame-orange dorsal and anal fins. The tail is a clean white. Like the Kole Tang, it is a "Bristletooth" that excels at eating film algae and cyanobacteria. Because it stays relatively small and is generally less aggressive than Zebrasoma or Acanthurus species, it is highly recommended for community reef setups.
