Overview
The Rummy Nose Tetra is revered by fishkeepers for two major reasons: its intense, deep-red face mask and its legendary tight-schooling behavior. Unlike many species that scatter when they get comfortable, Rummy Noses stay in a strict, beautifully synchronized school, making them the ultimate choice for large display tanks. They also feature a striking black-and-white zebra pattern on their tail fin. An excellent bonus for hobbyists is that these fish act as a natural thermometer for tank health—if water quality drops or the fish are stressed, their bright red "noses" will noticeably fade, alerting you immediately.
