Rock Flower Anemone (Phymanthus crucifer)

Rock Flower Anemones are the undisputed gems of the nano reef, beloved for their manageable size, incredible ease of care, and an almost infinite palette of neon colors. They feature a flat, textured oral disc surrounded by a ring of short, beaded tentacles, often exhibiting contrasting split-color patterns. These hardy invertebrates are ideal for reef-keepers because they rarely wander once settled into a rocky crevice, lack a potent sting that could endanger corals, and frequently host colorful porcelain crabs and sexy shrimp.
