Red Sea Salt

Product overview

Red Sea Salt mixes to tropical reef water with slightly raised alkalinity, so pH holds more steadily after a water change. It is evaporated from Red Sea water and keeps a natural mix of more than 70 trace elements.

It dissolves in about 20 minutes. Calcium and magnesium land in range, so you usually do not have to add them after mixing.

Water and system compatibility

• Water: Marine reef and fish-only aquariums only. Not for freshwater or planted tanks.
• Systems: Fish-only, mixed invertebrates, ultra-low nutrient (ULNS), and SPS-dominant reefs.

Mixing

Always follow directions on product packaging.

Mix in RO water. Add dry salt slowly to moving water and wait until it is fully dissolved. Aim for pH 8.2–8.5.

Storage

• Seal at once: Close the bag or bucket after every use. The salt takes up moisture from the air and will clump if left open.
