Radiata Lionfish

The Radiata Lionfish, also known as the Clearfin or Tailbar Lionfish, is one of the rarest and most striking species available in the hobby. It is instantly distinguished from all other lionfishes by its deep, rich reddish-black body color split by solid, un-banded horizontal white lines that look almost hand-painted. Additionally, it lacks the vertical bands on its tail fin that are characteristic of other Pterois species, giving it an incredibly clean, high-contrast look. As a slightly more sensitive species, the Radiata requires excellent water filtration and stable reef conditions to keep its dramatic fins in perfect health.
