Overview
The Pygmy Corydoras is a superstar of the nano-aquarium and shrimp-keeping world. As a true dwarf or "micro-fish," they grow to just a fraction of the size of standard Corys. Unlike their larger cousins who stick strictly to the bottom, Pygmy Corys form tightly knit, mesmerizing schools that actively swim through the middle open-water layers of the tank, occasionally parking themselves like little birds on plant leaves. They feature a clean, silver-grey body with a sharp black horizontal stripe. They are incredibly peaceful and one of the absolute safest fish to house alongside breeding colonies of dwarf shrimp.
