The Purple Tang is a highly prized and stunning species from the Red Sea, reaching a Max Size of 25 cm. It features a deep royal purple body accented by a brilliant yellow tail and yellow-tipped pectoral fins. Its face is often covered in fine black spots. While it is incredibly hardy and a fantastic algae eater, it is also known for being one of the more aggressive members of the Zebrasoma genus. It should be one of the last fish added to an aquarium to prevent it from becoming overly territorial toward newcomers.
