The Pinktail Triggerfish is one of the most reef-friendly and peaceful members of the triggerfish family, easily identified by its deep emerald-green to grey body, pink tail fin, and golden-yellow fin highlights. Unlike many of its aggressive relatives, this species open-water swims gracefully in the upper water column and rarely shows hostility toward non-trigger tankmates. They are exceptionally hardy, possess lots of personality, and adapt readily to life in large marine aquariums. While generally reef-safe with corals, care should still be exercised around small ornamental shrimp and crabs.
