PetWorx Premium Activated Charcoal

Product overview

Petworx Premium Activated Carbon is granular carbon for chemical filtration. It adsorbs dissolved organics, odours, tannins, phenols, chlorine, and heavy metals. It also clears leftover medication after a treatment has finished.

It does not remove ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate. Take it out of the filter before you medicate, or it will remove the treatment from the water.

Directions

1. Put the carbon in a fine-mesh media bag. Rinse it under running water until the dust is gone. Dechlorinated or distilled water is suitable for the rinse.
2. Place the bag after the mechanical media, such as sponge or filter wool.
3. Replace the carbon every 3 to 4 weeks, or sooner if the water yellows again.
4. Remove the carbon before adding medication. Put fresh carbon back only after the course is finished.

Always follow directions on product packaging.
