Peppermint Shrimp (Lysmata wurdemanni)

The Peppermint Shrimp is an invaluable utility animal, highly sought after by marine aquarists worldwide for its natural ability to control and eradicate pest Aiptasia (glass anemones). Translucent with delicate pink and red longitudinal stripes, these industrious nocturnal scavengers spend their evenings hunting through the rockwork to consume nuisance anemones and organic detritus. They are generally peaceful community members that thrive best when kept in small groups, ensuring your rock surfaces remain clean and free of stinging pests.
