Description
The Pajama Cardinalfish is a quirky and peaceful addition to the reef, known for its unique "mixed-and-matched" appearance. Its body is divided into distinct zones: a greenish-yellow face with large, bright orange eyes, a bold black vertical band across the midsection, and a rear half covered in brownish-orange polka dots. These fish are slow-moving and tend to hover in mid-water, often near rocky overhangs or branching corals. They are a schooling species that feels most secure in small groups. Because of their calm nature and hardiness, they are an ideal choice for beginners and nano-reef enthusiasts alike, as they rarely bother tankmates or corals.
