How to attach
- Open the tub, slide out the moss, and rinse off any liquid under room-temperature tap water.
- Split it into thin patches with fingers or scissors. Do not fix it as one thick clump — the inside rots from lack of light and flow.
- Spread the patches on driftwood or porous rock. Fix with a small dot of aquarium-safe superglue gel, or wrap with fine cotton moss thread. It anchors in a few weeks.
Light
It copes with a wide range of setups. Moderate light keeps the fronds tighter and flatter, and stops them looking sparse or stringy.
Maintenance
Keep steady circulation — the fluffy growth traps waste, which can choke lower fronds or start hair algae. Clip overhanging tips with sharp scissors and net out loose pieces so they do not root elsewhere. Prefer cooler water; temperatures consistently over 28°C can brown it.
