The Longhorn Cowfish is a bizarre and fascinating species characterized by the long "horns" that protrude from its forehead and rear. Its body is encased in a hard, box-like carapace and is typically a bright yellow-to-tan colour with iridescent blue or white spots. They have a unique method of swimming, using their small fins to move in a helicopter-like fashion, and are known to "spit" water at the surface to get their owner's attention. While incredibly charming, they are sensitive to high flow and aggressive tankmates. Potential owners must be aware of "Ostracitoxin," a toxin they can release if severely stressed or dying, which can be fatal to other tank inhabitants.
