Product overview
LCA PPS-Pro Liquid Fertiliser is made in Australia by Liverpool Creek Aquariums. It follows the Perpetual Preservation System (PPS-Pro), a lean daily dosing method that aims to match what plants use each day rather than loading the tank with extra nutrients.
This all-in-one formula combines macro and micro nutrients in a daily dose. The idea is to feed plants what they consume in about 24 hours, so little unused nutrient is left in the water to feed algae.
Key features
-
Lean daily dosing: Matched to daily plant use, so nutrients are less likely to build up and shift water parameters.
-
All-in-one: Each dose supplies nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium (NPK), and trace elements.
-
Helps limit algae: Leaving little unused nutrient in the water column can reduce hair, brush, and spot algae.
-
Fewer large water changes: A stable, low-nutrient baseline can mean less need for frequent large water changes.
-
Simple routine: Daily pump dosing — no mixing dry powders or using multiple bottles.
Water and system compatibility
-
Water: Freshwater aquariums only. Not for marine or reef tanks.
-
Setup: Suitable for low-tech and high-tech planted tanks where a consistent, low-nutrient baseline is preferred.
-
Livestock: Suitable for community tanks with tropical fish, cichlids, snails, and ornamental shrimp.
Dosing and instructions
-
Dose: Add 1 pump (2 ml) per 100 litres of aquarium water.
-
Schedule: Dose daily when the aquarium lights turn on.
-
Maintenance: A 20–30% water change each month is still recommended to refresh parameters.
