Product overview
LCA Nitrogen (N) Liquid Fertiliser is made in Australia by Liverpool Creek Aquariums. Nitrogen is one of the three core macronutrients (the N in NPK) and a building block of plant proteins, amino acids, and chlorophyll.
Fish waste and uneaten food produce some nitrate, but heavily planted tanks — especially high-tech setups with bright lighting and injected CO2 — often use it faster than the bio-load can replace it. This single-nutrient formula lets you raise nitrate without adding extra phosphates or other minerals.
Key features
-
Targeted macronutrient: Concentrated nitrogen for high-demand stem plants and fast growers.
-
Helps treat deficiencies: Used to correct stalled growth, yellowing or fading older leaves, and premature leaf drop.
-
Supports chlorophyll: Helps maintain green colour and healthy canopy growth.
-
Independent dosing: Lets you control nitrate on its own as part of a custom fertiliser routine.
-
Pump dispenser: Easy, mess-free dosing.
Water and system compatibility
-
Water: Freshwater aquariums only. Not for marine or reef tanks.
-
Livestock: Suitable for community fish, cichlids, snails, and ornamental shrimp when used at the recommended dose.
Dosing and instructions
-
Standard dose: Add 1 pump (2 ml) per 100 litres of aquarium water.
-
Schedule: Dose 3 times per week (for example Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), with a 50% weekly water change.
-
High-tech tanks (high light and injected CO2): Increase to 3 pumps (6 ml) per 100 litres, 3 times per week. This is the maximum recommended dose.
-
Low-tech tanks (low light, no CO2): Use the standard dose 1–2 times per week.
