Product overview
LCA Carbon Plus is made in Australia by Liverpool Creek Aquariums. It is a liquid carbon supplement for planted freshwater tanks, for both low-tech and high-tech setups.
Carbon is a basic building block of plant tissue. When it runs short, plant growth slows and hair or brush algae can take hold. Carbon Plus supplies readily available liquid carbon plus trace elements such as iron, zinc, and magnesium, so you can support plant growth from one bottle.
Key features
-
2-in-1 formula: Boosts available carbon and adds micronutrients to the water column.
-
Helps limit algae: Supports plants so they can restrict hair and brush algae without stripping water parameters.
-
Helps prevent deficiencies: Iron, zinc, and magnesium support green colour, stem growth, and help reduce yellowing leaves.
-
No extra nitrate or phosphate: Clear formula with no added nitrates or phosphates, so it does not feed algae.
-
Pump dispenser: Easy, mess-free dosing.
Water and system compatibility
-
Water: Freshwater aquariums only. Not for marine or reef tanks.
-
Livestock: Fish and shrimp safe, including sensitive ornamental shrimp setups.
-
Fertiliser pairing: Safe to use with standard LCA All-in-One fertilisers.
Dosing and instructions
-
Dose: Add 6 pumps (12 ml) per 100 litres of aquarium water.
-
When to dose: Add on setup and after each 50% weekly water change.
Mixing warning
Do not use Carbon Plus at the same time as LCA Triple C (Black Beard Blast), LCA Complete, Seachem Flourish Excel, or API CO2 Booster. Combining carbon products can drop oxygen levels and harm livestock.
