The Hi Fin Snapper, commonly known as the Sailfin Snapper, is a magnificent predator recognized for its high, dramatically sweeping dorsal fin and striking vertical black-and-white band pattern as a juvenile. As they mature, their coloration shifts into a rich silver-bronze tone, and they develop a broad, powerful body build. They are energetic and extremely hardy fish that require large open spaces and secure rockwork shelters. Given their predatory nature and rapid growth, they will easily swallow small fish and mobile invertebrates, making them suitable only for large, predatory fish-only installations.
