As the name suggests, the Half and Half Chromis features a dramatic and clean vertical division in its coloration. The front half of the fish (from the head to the mid-body) is a deep, solid black or dark charcoal, while the back half (including the tail) is a pure, stark white. This high-contrast look makes them stand out significantly against a colorful reef backdrop. They are active, social fish that are generally peaceful but can show slight territoriality if kept in too small a tank. They are quite hardy and appreciate plenty of rocky hideouts to retreat into when they aren't out swimming in the water column.
