The Gold Stripe Maroon Clownfish is a showstopping variation of the classic maroon clownfish, distinguished by its deep, rich maroon-to-crimson body and brilliant golden-yellow vertical bands that develop as the fish matures. They are the largest of all clownfish species and possess prominent cheek spines below their eyes. Known for their intense personality, females can become exceptionally dominant and territorial over their host anemone and surrounding rockwork. They thrive in large reef aquariums but should be housed with equally robust and assertive tankmates.
