The Fiji Foxface, or Bicolor Foxface, is a unique and rare species reaching a Max Size of 24 cm. Unlike the bright yellow varieties, the Fiji Foxface has a body that is almost entirely a deep chocolate brown-to-black, which abruptly transitions into a bright yellow tail and rear dorsal area. This "half-and-half" look is very distinctive and highly sought after by collectors. Native to the reefs around Fiji, they are excellent at scavenging for algae in the cracks and crevices of rockwork. They are generally hardier than the Magnificent Foxface but share the same requirement for a diet heavy in vegetable matter. They are bold swimmers and can be quite active once they have acclimated to their surroundings.
