Description
The EcoTech Marine Multi-Light RMS (Radion Mounting System) Rail is a heavy-duty architectural aluminum horizontal track designed to support multiple Radion LED fixtures over a single aquarium. Engineered to serve as the rigid cross-beam of EcoTech's modular multi-light network, it allows users to position, slide, and rotate individual lights to eliminate shadows and optimize PAR distribution.
The system places Radion fixtures at an optimal fixed height of approximately 7 inches (18 cm) above the glass rim. The extruded track profile is hollowed out to serve as an internal cable routing channel, allowing power cords to enter near the fixture sliders and run entirely inside the rail to exit discreetly at the tank edges.
Understanding the Three-Part Modular System
The Multi-Light RMS is a strictly modular architecture. Buying a track alone will not mount your lights; you must assemble the three mandatory independent components:
-
Part A (The Structural Support): Either a set of Multi-Light RMS Arms that clamp onto the right and left vertical glass panels, or an RMS Hanging Kit that substitutes the arms for ceiling-suspended steel wires.
-
Part B (The Rail/Track): The horizontal aluminum profile (detailed below) that matches the length of your display tank.
-
Part C (The Light Slides): Individual plastic-and-metal mounting brackets (available in dedicated XR15 or XR30 sizes) that fit into the rail tracks. A single track can mix and match XR15 and XR30 slides simultaneously.
Technical Specification & Sizing Matrix
To accommodate intermediate or non-standard custom tanks, each structural rail provides exactly 10 inches (25.4 cm) of telescoping adjustment range. The track slides forward or backward across the mounting arms, ensuring a clean, secure fit even if your glass dimensions do not match standard commercial layouts:
