The Double Bar Rabbitfish is a stunning and industrious addition to any large reef system, reaching a substantial Max Size of 25 cm. Its body is a beautiful pale blue-to-silver, intricately decorated with a network of fine yellow-to-orange vertical and horizontal lines. Its namesake comes from the two prominent, dark diagonal bars: one running through the eye and another just behind the gill cover. These fish are exceptional at managing nuisance macroalgae and are often seen constantly grazing on rockwork. Like all rabbitfish, they possess venomous dorsal and anal fin spines for protection, so they should be handled with extreme care during maintenance. They are generally peaceful but can be shy, often forming bonded pairs in the wild.
