Overview
The Dojo Loach (universally known in Australia as the Weather Loach) is famous for its incredible, puppy-dog personality and fascinating biology. These long, noodle-like bottom dwellers are highly interactive and quickly learn to eat food directly from their owner's hands. They get their unique alternative name from a natural sensitivity to barometric pressure shifts—when a storm or cold front approaches, these usually relaxed fish will excitedly loop around the tank like living barometers. Because they are a sub-tropical species, they are a massive retail favorite for unheated setups and goldfish aquariums.
Important Shipping/Biosecurity Note: Due to strict state-by-state biosecurity regulations in Australia, Weather Loaches are legal to sell in some regions but restricted or banned from possession and import in others (such as parts of Queensland and Western Australia). It is highly recommended to add a regional shipping disclaimer to this product listing.
