Congo Tetra (Phenacogrammus interruptus)

Overview

For customers looking for a larger, statement-making schooling fish, the African Congo Tetra is an unmatched choice. While standard South American tetras stay small, mature male Congos grow to a substantial size and develop spectacular, long, flowing, feathery fins edged in bright white. Their scales reflect a breathtaking rainbow gradient of violet, electric blue, and shimmering gold. Because of their size and high energy, they require a bit more swimming space but make an incredible dither fish for larger, peaceful community setups.
