The Clown Coris (Coris aygula), also frequently called the Twinspot Wrasse, is a powerhouse of the aquarium that undergoes one of the most incredible transformations in the marine world. As juveniles, they are stunningly white with two prominent orange "twin spots" on their back, but they eventually mature into massive, deep-green or blue-black adults with a distinct pale vertical band and a prominent bump on their forehead. They are exceptionally hardy and highly active, but due to their significant adult size and habit of rearranging the aquarium by flipping large rocks in search of prey, they are strictly recommended for large "monster" fish-only systems.
