Chihiros A II Series LED Overview
The Chihiros A II Series is a collection of sleek, ultra-slim full-spectrum LED fixtures built specifically for densely planted freshwater aquascapes. Operating at a crisp, daylight-clear color temperature of approximately 8,000 Kelvin, the fixtures feature white diodes arranged across three distinct parallel rows. This design blankets the aquascape in uniform light and minimizes structural shadows. The full-spectrum chip selection spans the 400–700nm wavebands, focusing heavily on the blue and red spectrums to drive photosynthesis in difficult aquatic plants while keeping fish coloration looking natural.
Unlike the original A-Series, which used external dimmers, the A II features an integrated Bluetooth controller built directly into the light housing. Out of the box, it connects natively to the My Chihiros mobile app on iOS and Android devices. This enables automated 24-hour scheduling, customized sunrise/sunset ramps, and precise percentage-based intensity dimming without requiring any secondary hardware.
The fixture's physical housing is ultra-slim, measuring exactly 67mm wide and 10mm high. It is supported by clear, architectural acrylic legs that mount onto the tank rim. These legs feature a built-in swivel track, allowing the entire metal light casing to be rotated to point its beam in any direction. The aluminum body acts as a passive heat sink. It carries an IP43 dust and splash protection rating, meaning it should only be used over open-top rimless aquariums or tanks with mesh tops, rather than enclosed under tight, high-humidity canopies.

Key Operational Design Features

App-Driven Photoperiod Automation: The integrated Bluetooth receiver links to the My Chihiros app to control day/night transitions. The app handles time tracking, so if the fixture temporarily loses power, it will sync back to its programmed time sequence once you open the app within Bluetooth range.

Swivel Tilt Mechanism: The transparent acrylic legs mount over glass boundaries and couple directly into circular side pivots on the light bar. This allows you to tilt the light slightly toward the rear to highlight background stems, or angle it forward to prevent light from spilling out and blinding viewers sitting in front of the tank.

Integrated Heat Management: The ultra-thin frame is composed of extruded, hard-anodized structural aluminum that serves as a full-body passive heat dissipation grid. This fanless design enables completely silent operation while safely moving heat away from the electronics.
