The Blue Star Leopard Wrasse is a jewel of the reef, prized for its intricate pattern of iridescent blue spots over a warm, reddish-brown body. Like all members of its genus, this species is a specialized hunter of micro-fauna and requires a mature aquarium with an established copepod population to truly flourish. They are peaceful, graceful swimmers that add a high level of sophistication to a reef system, though they must have a fine sand bed of at least 2 inches to bury themselves in at night or when they feel threatened.
