Blue Life Coral Rx (Reef RX)

Blue Life Coral Rx (also sold as Reef Rx) is a concentrated antibacterial powder for live corals. Use it on new corals, fresh-cut frags, and injured colonies. It is not an iodine dip. One pack treats up to 1,514 litres (400 US gallons).

Before you dose

• For the first 72 hours, turn off the protein skimmer, and stop carbon, ozone, and phosphate removers
• Do not use it in a system with macroalgae or a refugium mud bed
• Run a clean filter sock in the sump during treatment
• Keep flow gentle. Do not aim a wavemaker at infected tissue
• Lower the main lights if you can

Directions

1. Work out the true net water volume before you open the pack.
2. Dose during the day, while the lights are on.
3. Remove 1 cup (about 240 ml) of tank water. Dissolve 1 level scoop for every 37.9 litres (10 US gallons) into that cup.
4. Pour the mixed solution into a high-flow area of the tank or sump.
5. After treatment, do a 25% water change, then turn the skimmer and chemical media back on.
