Blue Foot Hermit Crab (Clibanarius tricolor)

The Blue Foot Hermit Crab is a classic staple of the saltwater hobby, widely celebrated for its vibrant electric blue legs and bright orange antennae. These highly active scavengers are relentless in their pursuit of hair algae, film algae, and leftover fish food, making them an essential line of defense against messy tank conditions. They are highly social and thrive when added in small groups, where they will continuously patrol the rockwork and sand bed to keep the aquarium pristine.
