Bandit Corydoras (Corydoras metapae)

Overview

The Bandit Corydoras is a charming, distinctively marked species that gets its fun name from its unique coloration. They feature a clean, translucent silver-grey body highlighted by a sharp, jet-black "bandit mask" band running directly across both eyes, finished with a matching black stripe that sweeps over their curved back to the tail fin. They are exceptionally peaceful, gentle, and highly industrious bottom scavengers. Because they can be slightly shyer than Bronze or Peppered Corys, keeping them in a school of 6 or more gives them the confidence to stay active and visible on the tank floor.
