Aqua Ultraviolet Twist 25-Watt

The Aqua Ultraviolet Twist 25-Watt is a versatile, mid-sized workhorse designed for larger freshwater aquariums, intermediate marine reef tanks, and backyard fish ponds. This model introduces Aqua UV’s advanced EZ-Twist design, featuring adjustable, rotating inlet and outlet union caps. These rotatable connections let you route plumbing from any angle, making installation around complex sump baffles or cabinet walls simple and pressure-drop free.

The 25-Watt model provides the necessary UV-C radiation dose to break down resilient free-floating parasites (such as Ich and Marine Velvet) during their waterborne transmission stage. It operates on a separate, heavy-duty external power transformer ballast to isolate electrical heat away from the aquarium water.

• Freshwater Sizing: Acts as a green-water clarifier for large outdoor ponds up to 4,000 gallons, and manages total bacterial pathogens in indoor freshwater setups between 500 and 1,200 gallons.

• Saltwater Sizing: Optimised for marine reef environments up to 150 gallons, carefully balanced to eliminate waterborne diseases while preserving the delicate planktonic food supply that corals rely on.

• Flow Rate Parameters:

  • Algae & Green Water Control (Max Flow): 1,200 GPH

  • Protozoa & Disease Control (Min Flow): 400 GPH

• Installation & Fittings: Built with high-volume, rotatable quick-release unions that let you remove the entire main housing for seasonal quartz sleeve cleaning without dismantling your hard plumbing lines.
