Gold Zebra Danio (Danio rerio "Gold")

Overview

The Gold Zebra Danio is a popular color variant of the standard Zebra Danio, highly favored by retailers for its bright, high-visibility aesthetic. Due to a natural lack of dark pigment, their bodies are a soft, pearlescent pinkish-cream, overlaid with subtle, shimmering golden-white horizontal stripes and finished with distinct pink albino eyes. They retain the absolute tank-like hardiness, top-dwelling nature, and rapid swimming speeds of the original species, making them a fantastic, bright contrast against dark backgrounds and green aquarium plants.
