The Birdnose Wrasse is famous for its unique, elongated snout, which it uses to reach into crevices to find prey like crabs and shrimp. This species is sexually dimorphic, with males being a stunning emerald green and females being a brownish-black with white speckles. They are incredibly fast swimmers and require a long aquarium to accommodate their constant movement. Their eccentric look and active personality make them a fantastic center-piece for a predatory or semi-aggressive community tank.
