The major software update for the current generation is the native integration of the Mobius platform. Out of the box, the pump connects directly via Bluetooth to the Mobius mobile application on iOS and Android devices, removing the need for a separate hardware bridge module like the legacy ReefLink. The pump is fully dual-purpose, operating as either a traditional submersed/inline return pump or as an external closed-loop circulation driver.
When configured as a closed loop, the M2 can pull from EcoTech's signature wave-making catalogs to simulate specialized flow environments such as Lagoonal Random, Reef Crest Random, or Gyre pulsing modes.
