Overview
The Odessa Barb is an exceptionally beautiful, high-contrast species that brings an unmistakable flash of color to a community setup. Non-dominant fish and females display a subtle, silvery-clay body with dark spots, but dominant males transform into absolute stunners, developing a wide, brilliant, neon-crimson stripe that runs from their head all the way to the tail fin. Their scales are edged in black, creating a gorgeous chain-mail appearance. They are hardy, highly active, and peaceful schoolers that look spectacular in a medium-sized aquarium.
