Neon Dwarf Rainbowfish (Melanotaenia praecox)

Overview

The Neon Dwarf Rainbowfish (universally known as the Praecox Rainbow) gives your customers the classic, deep-bodied look of a large rainbowfish but in a compact, community-friendly size. Their bodies are completely wrapped in shimmering, mirror-like metallic neon-blue scales that catch the light from every angle, perfectly accented by deep cherry-red fins on the males (and bright yellow fins on the females). They are a highly active, tightly schooling species that looks breathtaking when moving en masse through a heavily planted aquascape.
