Red Sea Aiptasia-X is a thick gel for treating Aiptasia (glass anemones) in reef tanks. These pests spread quickly and sting nearby corals and fish. Cutting or disturbing them often makes them retract and release planula larvae, which can turn one anemone into a tank-wide outbreak.
The formula is meant to mimic a food source so the anemone expands and swallows it instead of pulling in. Once ingested, the adhesive seals the oral disc, trapping spores, and the anemone collapses.

Water and system compatibility

Water: Marine and reef aquariums only. Not for freshwater or planted tanks.

Coral: Designed for mixed-reef and SPS systems, including pests growing among coral colonies. Keep the gel on the anemone, not on coral tissue.
Dosing and instructions
Always follow dosage & directions on product packaging.

Preparation: Turn off wavemakers, return pumps, and other circulation for at least 15 minutes so flow does not blow the gel away.

Setup: Shake the bottle well. Fit the straight or angled tip firmly on the 3 ml syringe and draw up the liquid.

Application: Lower the tip to the anemone’s oral disc (mouth) and gently deposit a small glob. Let the anemone swallow it. Do not force the needle into the tissue.

After treatment: Leave circulation off for 15 minutes so the gel can settle and work.
